IngridPresident -- Ingrid Andreasen Price
I grew up in Plainfield and still live here today. I attended Central Elementary, Indian Trail Junior High, and Plainfield High School like many of you did. I graduated from PHS in 1977. After high school I attended Joliet Junior College, where I earned my Associate Degree majoring in Fine Art. After college I married a fellow classmate, Christopher Price. We have been married for 22 years. We have 2 Children, Chelsea a senior and Jake a sophomore, both at PHS.

I am an active member of the PHS Athletic Boosters and enjoy attending many of the sports events at PHS, especially the ones my children are involved in. My daughter is a captain on the Varsity Pom Squad and my son plays volleyball. Some of my favorite school memories include Homecoming. Since 1998, when the Plainfield Homecoming Committee was
formed, I have been involved in the many facets of homecoming. The PHS Alumni Association was started in 2006 and I am currently one of the Co-Presidents. A few of the reasons I joined the PHS Alumni Association include sustaining the traditions that are unique to Plainfield High School, developing Alumni events, and in the future the hopes of offering a variety of scholarships to PHS graduates.

Currently I own Andreasen Travel, where I have worked since we opened in 1981. In spite
of the internet, our business continues to grow. When time allows, I love to travel. read, and spend time with my family.

While at PHS I taught Physical Education, coached cheerleaders for 3 years, coached Powder Puff Football for 4 years, Head Girls Track & Field Coach for 16 years, sponsor of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for 14 years and spent my last 10 years as Assistant Athletic Director of both boys and girls sports.

Still an active sport fan and can be seen at many different Plainfield school events. I was inducted into the Sport Hall of Fame at PHS in 1999. Since retiring from teaching in 1998, besides attending sport events my days have been filled with many volunteer events. I am a
greeter and a member of St. Mary Immaculate Parish Council. I have been on the PHS Homecoming Committee since it's inception in 1998. Behind the scenes doing what ever is needed for the annual homecoming parade. My husband and I Co-Chaired the Capital Campaign for fundraising to build the C.W.Avery Family YMCA in Plainfield.

Currently I am Chair of the C.W.Avery YMCA Board and member of the Greater Joliet Area's Metro and Executive Boards. In my spare time I love to travel, boat and golf plus visit with my former students.

and also the homecoming committee. While her sons were in high school she was PTSO President and served on various committees. Volunteering is a way of life for LuAnn. She has given many hours to the school district, church and scouting. She can always be counted on to pitch in and help. LuAnn has worked for Provena St Joes Hospital in Joliet for 33 years. Two of her favorite things are quilting and a good parade.
